Late night update.
In other news, I strangely enough got my SE pre-order codes (head start and in-game items) in my inbox today, although the pre-order campaign is set to start the 28th in Europe…
I pre-ordered it from the Swedish store Webhallen (they are usually good at this), at first when I pre-ordered from them, they said that more info would come when they got it from the distributor, which I guessed was going to be the 28th… but apparently not.
Another positive thing with that I ordered from them, is that if you get there in the night right at the release, you get to buy the game for about 10€ less.
Well, I’m off to bed now, school started today, gonna try not to oversleep tomorrow too.
EDIT: Ah, almost forgot to say, WAR SE is pre-ordered in more copies than WotLK, but fewer copies than D3, on Webhallen that is.

Not for us!!! Yay!
NDA lifted!!!
As of now, the Non Disclosure portions of our Beta Testing Agreement is now officially lifted. From this point on players may now freely talk about their experiences in the game as well as post screenshots, videos, etc. We will be sending an email out to all our current players with full details about the lift over the next 24 hours. Players with access to our forums can also see the letter there. Players may not talk about nor reprint posts from our forums and our Test Servers (currently Deathsword) are still fully covered by the confidentiality portions of our Beta Testing Agreement. So, other than that, free feel to talk about and share your experiences in WAR.
NDA lift
I won’t have any big information articles or anything like that, I will keep most of the information to the HammerWiki, since loads of random information is easier to handle if it’s collected on one site instead of spread all over the net.
A review of characters or just a post about what I think about parts of the game will probably be forged out of my noodly head-intestines in time.

Random news snatched off WHA.
Creative director Paul Barnett told IGN that the client code, basically what customers will pay for in the box, will go gold sometime next week.
I can’t comment that since it’s under NDA, so I won’t.
Then there’s the latest Guild Highlight - Standards (only NA, no EU)
Really nothing new, a bit more detailed than what we’ve heard before.
Then there’s something about pre-order codes that I don’t give a sht about, it’s never anything about us Europeans anyway.
After that we find - ah! - an announcement marked with “[EU]“ Maybe someone believe that we actually exist over here.
Some dude named David Petit Got a long post about how it’s hard having five communities and other crap, the OP didn’t have anything to say, except that we are allowed to give them questions about GOA-related stuff.
There’s loads of good questions in there, none that has been answered yet, but keep a close eye on it!
Mark says that the OB download will be up on monday, still no date on the start of the OB.
On Monday, you’ll be able to download the client via a solution that is, quite frankly, better than what we are currently using. Given the concern/issues with the current Torrent setup, I can’t imagine any reasonable person being disappointed with what we are going to do next week.
TBH, I don’t get what problems people have with a torrent download, telling you what speed I had with the DL of closed beta would be against the NDA so I’ll stop here, altho’ I wonder what their “solution” is, a direct FTP download doesn’t really give you a badass DL speed…

Friday’s yays and nays
We raise our hats and bows before the release date that let us plan the future with ease.
We thank Blog Warhammer that lets us get together.
We raise our hands and pray to Jesus for… Okay, too far.
So, except newsletter and release date, here’s my yay’s:
- SE Pre-order
- Syp mentioning me in his blog
- Beta
And here’s some nay’s:
- GOA
- war-europe.com’s flash site which is a truckload of fail
- war-europe.com having less than a third of the nice features of warhammeronline.com (the lack of news from the community, realm war, herald, beta ticker and other cool stuff)
- Me still awake 05:15 AM
And here’s some serious off-topic OMGWTFBBQ:

Release date, subscription cost and why I’m not writing stuff around here
The European subscription cost is also up in the announcement:
From launch, subscriptions can be purchased online and within the game:
- 1 month for 12.99€ (£10.31)
- 3 months for 35.97€ (£28.55)
- 6 months for 65.94€ (£52.34)
Sounds fair…
Well, then to the next topic - the blog.
One of the main reasons that I’m not writing over here is because there isn’t much to write about that not pretty much every WAR-blogger out there have already covered.
One little piece of news a day doesn’t make it enough to write about when everyone have already covered every tiny aspect of it.
It just doesn’t feel worth it, writing the same thing as everyone else.
So I’ll wait for the NDA drop, so there’s enough content to write about.

About the blog.
At the NDA break:
- Videos - I’ll start making videos as soon as I’m in the beta, going through things at PQs, RvR and scenarios, hopefully with voice commentarys if it doesn’t sound too silly.
- My guild mates will hopefully add with some videos.
- Random chatter about the game.
- Raid, dungeon and adventuring reports.
There’s some content you might want to look forward to, most will probably get lost in the massive amount of information and videos at the NDA break, but let’s hope someone passes by.
